'Autumn Brilliance' Serviceberry (Amelanchier x grandiflora 'Autumn Brilliance') is a small, deciduous, usually multi-trunked understory tree or tall shrub which typically matures to 15-20’ tall. It provides multi-season interest starting with showy white flowers in April, purple edible berries in June, followed by brilliant orange-red fall leaf color! The tree is known for its berries, which can also be used in jams, jellies, and pies. The butterflies and pollinators love the spring blooms and the fruit is an excellent food source for the birds! "Autumn Brialliance' has excellent disease resistance.
This is an attractive understory tree/shrub for lawns, shrub borders, woodland margins, or native plant areas. It is low maintenance and prefers well-drained sites with full sun to part-shade.
