Carex cherokeensis, or Cherokee Sedge, is an ideal choice for ground cover, garden borders, or adding texture to your landscape. It can handle sun or part shade and thrives in moist, well-drained soils but also tolerates average soils. It’s a fantastic plant for rain gardens, near water features, or shaded areas with a tendency to stay moist. 

In addition to its striking foliage, Cherokee Sedge is an excellent choice for adding texture and softness to shaded garden beds. Its fine, arching leaves create a beautiful, flowing effect. Has a height of 10 to 12 inches without the blooms and 1.5'-2' with the flower blooms. Zones 6-9.
