The Pawpaw Tree (Asimina triloba) is a hardy native fruit tree producing the largest edible fruit native to North America. Pawpaws have smooth green skin and a creamy, custard-like flesh with tropical notes of banana, mango, and melon. Trees are cold-tolerant, thrive in temperate climates, and are well suited for home orchards and edible landscapes. They’re the host plant for zebra swallowtail butterflies
