Plumleaf Azalea, Rhododendron prunifolium

Beautiful and unique plant that is one of the latest bloom times (mid-to-late summer) of any deciduous azaleas! Flower color is generally a vivid red but can also be pink or orange. Our plants are seed grown, and there can be some variation in flower color. 
Plumleaf azalea (Rhododendron prunifolium) is a large, woody, deciduous shrub that typically matures to 8 to 10 feet tall and 8 to 10 feet wide.

This azalea would do great in a pollinator garden where it will attract bees, hummingbirds, and other pollinators. It also does well in a naturalized or woodland area and/or partial shade site that is protected from afternoon sun.
