Southern Shield Fern, Dryopteris ludoviciana

Dryopteris ludoviciana, commonly known as southern shield fern, is a handsome native semi-evergreen fern featuring glossy, upright, leathery green fronds. Naturally associated with moist southeastern habitats, it also adapts well to average garden conditions and forms slowly expanding vase-shaped clumps.
