Swamp azalea (Rhododendron viscosum) is a deciduous shrub native to the wetlands and moist woodlands of eastern North America. It is renowned for its striking floral display and aromatic blossoms, which appear in late spring to early summer (May to July). It is one of the latest blooming azaleas.

Swamp azalea typically grows to a height and width of 3 to 5 feet. The dark green leaves that turn a rich yellow to red/purple in the fall.
